The Third Coast Festival / Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Competition announces its 2008 Call For Entries, seeking the most compelling and creative audio work produced worldwide. Prizes are awarded for:
Best Documentary (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Honorable Mentions)
Directors' Choice
Best New Artist
Radio Impact and…
This year we are also pleased to announce a brand new category -- Best News Feature -- to honor exceptional stories produced by newsrooms worldwide. Read more about the BNF Award!
Additionally, each year the TCF presents the Audio Luminary Award to an honoree for his/her outstanding contributions to the audio field. Radio fans and professionals alike are encouraged to submit nominations for this award.

Winning producers/reporters will receive prizes ranging from $1,500 to $6,000 to support their future creative endeavors. Winning programs will be celebrated at an awards ceremony in Chicago and heard by a national audience in the 2008 Third Coast Festival Broadcast this Fall.
Other exceptional entries from the competition may be featured in the TCF’s weekly radio show Re:sound (on Chicago Public Radio), on the TCF Podcast and at thirdcoastfestival.org. Entrants will be compensated if/when their work is featured.

- Call for entries announced – Wednesday, May 7
- Early deadline for entries – postmarked on or before Friday, June 27
- Late deadline for entries – postmarked Saturday June 28 through Friday, July 18
- Deadline for ALA nominations – Friday, July 18
- Winners notified – early September
- Awards Ceremony – Saturday, October 11 (held during the TCF Conference)
