2006 Third Coast Festival Competition
This year's competition attracted 258 entries from twelve countries across five continents. The winners were announced October 27, 2006 at an awards ceremony at the Music Institute of Chicago in Evanston, Illinois. Accepting the Festival's 2006 Audio Luminary Award was Piers Plowright, an internationally respected and much celebrated documentary maker, who worked for the BBC from 1967 to 1997.
