2007 Third Coast Festival Competition
This year's competition attracted 225 entries of all lengths and styles from eight different countries across four continents. The winners were selected by a panel of expert judges and honored on November 2, 2007 at an Awards Ceremony held at the Vittum Theater in Chicago. Accepting the Festival's 2007 Audio Luminary Award was Peter Leonhard Braun,
a widely esteemed radio producer, writer, teacher and mentor who developed the European "radio feature" as a distinct form, and by doing so influenced generations of radio producers around the globe.
The winning stories are featured in the 2007 Third Coast Festival Broadcast, airing on many public radio stations this holiday season.
